See, it's cute huh? I think that there's a beautiful window hiding behind that really overgrown bush. Now really, who doesn't know that you're supposed to trim the hedges *before* the realtor takes pictures.
Here's the living room complete with fireplace and orange-ish ceiling. Now, you'll hear no complaints from me because I *love* color. When I do a painting they tend to be bright *but* not every buyer likes this much color...and it would take a *lot* of primer and paint to make it not so colorful. And who wants to paint a ceiling?
Here's the colorful dining room....And the colorful kitchen. I really like the yellow and think it works well in here. What you can't see is that another wall is painted cobalt blue halfway up.
Here's the den with a purple ceiling...
Here's the surprisingly tame, and really pretty bonus room. And another upstairs bedroom that I suspect may be the master- with super-cool painted floors. Here is the room that I'd buy this house for- no matter what color the ceiling is. It's a perfectly beautiful sunroom with gorgeous windows and wonderful stone floor. And the outside courtyard. So what say ye? Do you like the color or would it send you running for a can (or 20) of primer?

What a fun house. I like it...I would change it to fit my taste, but I wouldn't feel like I had to change it immediately. Seems like a good price for such a great location. I love the sun room too...did you notice the ceiling is painted bead board? That's one of my favorite things.
Hmmm. I kind of like it how it is. It has personality, and I can never argue with that. I'm with you, though. I'd buy the house in any color just to have that sunroom. Sigh.
Wow. Quite reasonable. I've passed that house a zillion times and wondered why it hasn't sold yet- you think it's the paint?!
Mary, it is a fun house isn't it? I think the only thing that I'd want to change right away is the completely red dining room. I think the red ceiling would make me feel a bit closed in. I also didn't notice that the blue ceiling in the sunroom was painted bead board. I love it too and have thought that maybe I should do that in our bathroom.
Christy- *Everybody* needs a sunroom like that.
Tisra, I do think it's the paint. I can't think of any other reason for it to not sell.
Oh...and I love painted wood floors too. That bedroom reminds me a little of my boy's room, just a little funkier.
I looooooooove your blog.because you are sooooooooooooo good at bloging. What do cats say when thay peer puuuuuuurple.
Whoa! I got a kick out of all the colors in this house. It made the rooms really fun to look at. I mean, an orange ceiling? A purple ceiling? And a red ceiling? You don't see those every day!
It's an adorable house. I'm really diggin' that sunroom. I might be willing to paint a few ceilings to live there. Although I have a feeling a lot of other people might just keep on walkin'. Maybe they can find a buyer who loves color as much as they do.
I love your open house Tuesdays, Amy! -Julia :-)
OH MY!!!! I love love love it! I would not change anything about it. Its so alive and wonderful! I would never leave the back court yard.....
Thanks, Julia. Open House Tuesdays are fun. Sadly, this house has been on the market *forever* and I'm guessing it's because of the color. I'd buy it because I love color but I'm probably in the minority.
And just so everyone knows, Chloe left the "love your blog" comment- I didn't want anybody to think that it was weird.
